My name is Ziva Bobek and I am originally from Slovenia. I moved to Liverpool in 2007 to study, finish my degree and return home but I am still here, living with my partner, our son, a cat and a lizard (only a gecko but one day I will have an iguana!) I first started working at People First Merseyside in 2017 on the Road Ahead project where I supported a steering group of our members to develop and deliver a training course for young adults with learning disabilities. I enjoyed my role and was sad to leave when the project ended. Therefore, I was even more excited to come back in 2018 and work with Shirley on the ‘Live and Learn’ project! Outside of People First I have another job as a suicide prevention therapist at James’ Place. Both jobs are very different from each other but they bring balance to my life and I find them both fulfilling and meaningful.
In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, exercising, listening to audiobooks or music and watching films and series. I spend most of my holidays in Slovenia where I recharge my batteries and spend time with my nearest and dearest over there.
