I started People First Merseyside after I saw it on Facebook. I went to the office with Rebecca, my housemate. Rebecca was already a member, so she told me all about People First Merseyside.
Since starting People First Merseyside I have learnt lots of things about health and wellbeing, like stop smoking and all about bullying. The thing I enjoy the most is learning the computer skills. I do lots of computer work with the team. I find information and places of interest to visit, then help plan trips out. We go for meals, try different food, go on barge trips, go to the cinema and we run a coffee morning everyone can come.
Since starting People First Merseyside I have met a lot of new people made lots of new friends. I’ve been on the Board of Directors everyone gets a chance to do these things. Everyone is thoughtful, interesting and it’s great to be part of something big and the team is great.
I live in supported living and can travel alone and join in everything.
I have a sister and we have joined the gym together, its going ok. I like gardening, I am part of a choir and like my crafting, I make cards. I enjoy going out with my mates and we go to lots of places, but we enjoy the Albert Dock.
