Last Tuesday we went on a narrowboat trip from Christleton to Chester. We booked two narrowboats from the Wirral Community Narrowboat Trust, each carrying twelve people.

The ride took about two hours in one direction because we had to pass through five locks. It was relaxing to enjoy the nice weather and scenery.  In Chester we split ourselves into small groups, so nobody would get lost or left behind, and went off exploring.

Some people walked to the cathedral, some had a good look around local shops and some of us got fish and chips and ate them by the Roman wall before we had to head back.

As Phil said: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed the day – great day, lovely weather and the coach driver that took us was so polite and respectful… I can’t wait for the next opportunity’.
