An important part of working in an office is making and taking phone calls. Some of our members have identified this as an area they would like to improve in, so we have included it in the Back to the basics training programme.

In the previous weeks, we have been preparing various real-life role-play scenarios about phoning different services. Today we practised phoning a GP surgery about the wrong prescription. We have learned about the questions that the receptionist might ask in order to confirm your identity, such as your date of birth and postcode.

We have also prepared other scenarios that we will practice in the following weeks, for example, how to answer the phone and take a message in the office, booking a coach, phoning an ambulance etc.
