Recently, researchers from the University of Salford came to the office (in person and digitally) to conduct a focus group as a part of their research ‘Exploring learning disability nurses’ perspectives on NMC
registration: implications for students and individuals living with a learning disability’.
The researchers invited 6 members of People First Merseyside to take part in the research focus group. They were interested to understand the impact that learning disability nurses have on people who use learning disability nursing services, (now or in the past), and their families or carers.

The people in the focus group had a brilliant discussion about their experiences with LD nurses. We look forward to welcoming the researchers back to hear about the results of their study.
