Friday 21st January saw the 2nd group after Christmas and the 14th group since it started. We had 5 people attend which included a new face and his interpreter today. We caught up with each other after Christmas for those that couldn’t make last week, and introduced ourselves to the new member who is deaf. A couple of members and the facilitator were able to use some of the sign language we have learnt to communicate with them, which was lovely. It was a good session with people welcoming the new member into the group and including everyone. There were a couple of people that expressed their interest in learning some sign language to be able to communicate a bit more with deaf people. People really engaged and had fun, they shared interesting experiences and points of view. For further information please see attached flyer.
