The Health Matters project has recently been looking at Healthy Eating. After a few weeks of sessions learning about food groups and the exercise needed to burn off the energy of food, the members decided that they would like to do a ‘Healthy Eating Food Tasting Session’.

The session was to open our minds to new foods that we haven’t tried before but also revisit some healthy classics.

After the preparation of all the foods, the healthy banquet was spread out across the meeting room table. All together the members tried one food at a time and rated them out of 10 on their scoring sheet.

Once all the food had been tasted, the members fed back their scores in order to see what had been the favourites of all the healthy foods. Most people seemed to love pineapple the most, however avocado and cottage cheese and strawberries on toast were also up there!

The members really enjoyed the day and we hope to do another tasting session soon, pushing our healthy palettes even further!
