The Sefton Research Group – Part 1

The Sefton members have recently formed a Research Group where they have been doing research for our HLF funded Heritage Project. Our Heritage Project is about the history of self-advocacy in Merseyside.

In their first meeting, the Sefton Research Group thought about what they already know about the history of self-advocacy in Merseyside. They wrote what they knew under the following headings: What is self-advocacy? Before self-advocacy, the start of self-advocacy, the growth of self-advocacy, and self-advocacy today.

In the next meeting they thought of some questions they wanted to answer about the growth of self-advocacy in Merseyside. These questions will be the group’s research questions. Doing research is when you find out the answer to a question.
