On Monday 23rd September we held our Annual General Meeting in Goddard Hall. We started the event with presentations from all of our projects including Liverpool, Sefton, Road Ahead and Health First. It was great to hear about all of the exciting work that has been going on over the past 12 months.
We watched a short animation made by the Road Ahead group on their first training course. It was all about young people’s dreams for the future. We also heard our Voices never Forget Choir singing their self written song ‘People First’.
After the presentations the people who have been on the Board for 2 years had to step down. We congratulated Lisa, Phil, Paul and Karl for all of their hard work. Then we heard speeches from the members who wanted to stand for a job on the Board of Directors.
We all got to vote for the members that we wanted to go onto the Board. We voted in private like in a General Election. The members who were voted onto the Board were:
* Cally Ann McEvoy
* Katrina Dubber
* Joe Collister
* Phil Hume (re elected)
* Lesley Curran
Eric Baig said “We are very proud of these people, we know that they will do a great job.
After the elections we had an awards ceremony where members were given awards for their hard work and achievments.
A huge congratulations to everyone who was elected or received an award on the day.» Back to News
